switching it up

Try preparing food in different ways to help children accept them. Different food preparation methods can drastically change the taste or texture of a food. Some people may enjoy mushrooms raw but not cooked. Some children also prefer food at a specific temperature.

Sometimes we get stuck preparing a food in the same way because that’s the way we prefer them. But your child might prepare a different preparation method!

Keep trying different things!

Some examples:

  • Raw vs cooked veggies
  • Mashed vs baked potatoes
  • Shredded vs sliced veggies or cheese
  • Roasted vs BBQ meats
